The most commonly used dal in India, masoor dal is an everyday meal constituent. It is unpolished and obtained from 100% organic grains. It gets cooked very quickly and does not require prior soaking. Masoor Dal Mogar is also referred to as a red or even a pink lentil. It is skinless, cooks fast, and has a delicious earthly flavor. Its high protein and low-fat content make it an alternative to meat and is therefore highly preferred by vegetarians. Masoor Dal Mogar has an earthy flavor and contains very little fat. It turns a golden color when cooked. It is prominent in Northern India used to make dal, soups, and stews.
