Achari Paneer is a mouth watering delicious north Indian gravy dish that is prepared with paneer (cottage cheese), achari masala and other required spices. The dish tastes a bit tangy and full of flavours that can served hot with any Indian flatbread like nan, roti, chapathi, paratha and steamed rice.

Ingredients
1 Cup of Finely Chopped Onion
2 Slit Green Chillies
2 Tbsp Achari Masala
1/4 Cup of Mustard Oil
1/2 Cup of Yogurt / Curd Whisked with 1 Tbsp of Maida
Salt To Taste
1/2 Cup of Peas
2 Tsp of Ginger Garlic Paste
1/2 Cup of Finely Chopped or Grated Tomato
2 Tsp of Dry Mango Powder or Amchur Powder
2 Tsp of Crushed Coriander Seeds
400 Grams Paneer Cut into Cubes
2 Tsp of Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
2 Tbsp of Kasuri Methi
1/2 Cup of Sliced Capsicum
2 Tbsp of Mango Pickle Masala with Oil
2 Tbsp of Lemon Juice
Directions
Heat the mustard oil in a pan and add the chopped onions.
Fry till the onions turn into slightly golden brown colour.
Add the ginger garlic paste and green chillies. Fry till the raw smell goes away.
Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes.
Now add the whisked yogurt maida mixture and cook for about another 2 to 3 minutes.
Add the crushed coriander seeds, achari masala, dry mango or amchur powder, red chilli powder, salt to taste and fry till the oil oozes out from the sides of the pan.
Add a cup of water and bring the gravy to a boil.
Now add the peas, paneer cubes, capsicum and cook for about 5 more minutes.
Add the mango pickle masala with oil to the gravy, lemon juice, kasuri methi and mix well.
Serve hot with nan, paratha, roti, chapathi, steamed rice or any Indian flatbread.
Recipe Note
* You can skip adding the garlic for a jain version of the recipe.
* 1 Cup is equal to 240ml.
* 1 Tbsp means Tablespoon.
* 1 Tsp means Teaspoon.
