Shan Chicken Tikka Mix helps you prepare mouth-watering and flavorsome dishes. Tikka masala tastes like heaven, that wouldn't really help you envision it much. However, in very general terms, tikka masala is a tomato and cream-based sauce with a lot of spices added. It's slightly spicy and tastes earthy. Tandoori and Tikka are almost the exact same with one exception, Tikka generally refers to boneless marinated Chicken while Tandoori has the bone in and can be any part of the Chicken. Once you change the meat or make it with Vegetables they are the same, marinate in yogurt and spices, and cook in a Tandoor Oven.


The only major difference that can be seen is that tikka masala contains more masala or spices in it. Tikka and tikka masala are of Indian origin. The preparation of tikka masala is almost the same but with the addition of masala or mixed spices. As tikka masala comes spicier, it is a bit hotter than normal tikka. But Chicken tikka masala is a dish consisting of roasted marinated chicken chunks (chicken tikka) in spiced curry sauce. The curry is usually creamy and orange-colored. Shan chicken tikka masala can add to the most famous chicken tikka recipe. Chicken is marinated in yogurt, chicken tikka masala, red chili powder, salt, and a few other spices. Finally grilled to make the mouth-watering chicken tikka masala.

Recipe using Shan Chicken Tikka Mix:

Ingredients Required:

Chicken - 1½ kgs / 3.3 lbs 8-10 portions, make 2-3 slits on each; Lemon Juice  - 8 to10 tablespoons; Oil/Ghee - 6 tablespoons; Shan Chicken Tikka Mix - 1 packet do not mix in water


STEPS OF COOKING:

1. Mix together Shan Chicken Tikka Mix, lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons oil. Apply on chicken pieces and marinate for 3 hours +.

2. Put each portion of chicken on a skewer and place it on low heat of charcoal/gas grill.

3. Grill evenly on each side until meat is tender and done. Apply butter before removing it from heat. Serving Suggestions: Serve hot Chicken Tikka with fresh green salad, sliced onion, tomatoes, and Shan Tamarind / BBQ / Green Chutney.
