MDH Sambhar Masala is a mix of sweet-smelling spices & herbs that were usually use for making sambar. It is a dish that is a necessary part of the south Indian diet. Ingredients Of Sambar Masala:

2 Cups Whole red pepper, 1 1/2 cups coriander seeds, 2 tbsp mustard seeds, 3 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera), 4 tsp peppercorns, 2 tbsp fenugreek seeds, 2 tbsp black gram (husked and split).  2 tbsp Bengal gram (channa dal), 2 tbsp yellow lentils, 2 tbsp rice, 2 tbsp heeng, 2 tbsp turmeric powder, 1/4 cup dried curry leaves.


How to Make Sambar Masala:

1.Roast all the ingredients, except the turmeric powder, till very slightly colored.

2.Remove from the heat and cool. Grind to a powder and mix in the turmeric powder.

3.Store this masala in an airtight jar.
