PTI Seena Leaves are used to treat constipation and also to clear the bowel before diagnostic tests such as colonoscopy.  PTI Seena Leaves is also used for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), hemorrhoids, and weight loss. The constipation-relieving effects of senna are attributed to the plant's sennoside content. Sennosides are compounds that work by accelerating the movement of the digestive system to stimulate a bowel movement. They also increase fluid absorption in the colon to aid in the passage of stool. The shape of seena leaves are lanceole. Leaves are entire, apex is acute with a spine at the top. Leaflets have an asymmetrical base with transverse lines. Transverse lines are more prominent on the lower surface.
