Directions
Add a tbsp of oil in a pan and on a medium flame add cumin seeds.
When the cumin seeds splutter, add onions, ginger garlic paste, green chillies. Add a pinch of salt to speed up the cooking process.
Cook until the onions become softer and turn into golden brown colour.
Add the chopped tomatoes until they turn mushy. Allow the mixture to cool down slowly.
Transfer to a grinder and blend into a smooth puree.
In the same pan, heat the remaining 1 tbsp of oil and add the prepared puree. Simmer the gravy and if it splutters too much, then you can cover the pan partially with a lid.
Continue cooking until the gravy becomes thicker and most of the water is evaporated.
Add the red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder and saute for about a minute. Stir well.
Add water and allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes.
Take the green peas in a bowl along with a few tbsp of water and a pinch of salt. Microwave / cook for about 4 minutes.
Now add the cooked peas, paneer cubes and simmer for about 2 minutes.
Add the garam masala powder, crushed kasuri methi and mix well
Add the malai / heavy cream. Mix well and cook the gravy on simmer. Turn off the flame.
