PTI Shank Pushpi, which goes by the botanical name Convolvulus pluricaulis is a perennial plant native to India. Well-known as morning-glory, speed wheel, or Aloe weed in English. The flowers (Pushpa) of this plant resemble the shape of a conch shell (Shankh), giving the name Shankhpushpi.


According to Ayurveda, PTI Shank Pushpi helps to calm down the brain and relieve stress as well as anxiety. It also improves memory by acting as a brain tonic due to its Medhya (improves intelligence) property. It’s useful in cold cough, headaches as well. Helps in getting good sleep, relieves anxiety and depression. It helps to manage digestion and constipation due to its mild laxative property. Shankhpushpi might help to manage wrinkles and prevent aging due to its Rasayana property.


The healing nature of shankh pushpi turns out good for healing wounds. It reduces skin inflammation and irritability of the skin. Certain constituents present in shankh pushpi helps in the management of high blood pressure. It is also very effective to boost immunity and helps to fight against infections. 


Face mask method by using Shankpushpi 

a. Take ½-1 teaspoon of Shankhpushpi fresh powder.

b. Add milk to it and apply to the face and neck.

c. Let it sit for 5-7 minutes.

d. Wash thoroughly with tap water.

e. Use this remedy 2-3 times a week to get rid of dry and dull skin. It also helps to remove dead cells and moisturize your skin.


Shankhpushpi Decoction for wound healing

a. Take ½-1 teaspoon of Shankhpushpi powder.

b. Boil it in 2-4 cups of water till the amount reduces to 1 cup.

c. Filter the liquid and clean the affected area once or twice a day for quick wound healing.
