Shan Karahi Meat in Tomato Sauce Mix is a spicy, slightly hot spice mix for roasted meat in a tomato curry. Chicken karahi (known as gosht karahi when prepared with goat or lamb meat instead of chicken), or Kadai chicken, is a dish from the Indian subcontinent noted for its spicy taste; it is notable in North Indian and Pakistani cuisine.
Recipe - Peshawari style meat with tomatoes
Ingredients Required: beef/chicken/mutton 1kg, tomatoes 500g, green chilli x 6, garlic crushed 25g, ginger chopped 40g, ghee/oil/butter 350g, shan karahi Meat Mix one pack.
1] Place meat in a small pot and add 2-3 cups water, garlic, ginger and shan karahi. cover and boil on low heat till meat tender. when meat is tender about one cup of water should remain in your pot.
2] In another pot heat ghee and add tomatoes. fry till half tomato juices have dried up
3] Add cooked meat, stock and green chillies to the fried tomatoes. cover and cook on high heat for 5 mins, then for 10mins on low heat.
