Tomato soup recipe is creamy and tasty rich in tanginess and deliciously sweet. Fresh tomatoes are used to get that creamy texture and flavour to the appetizer.
Delicious Fresh Tomato Soup
This creamy tangy tomato soup is delicious and can be home made easily within 30 minutes. It is perfect for heart and as an appetizer before heavy meals. Adding up fried bread crumbs to this tomato soup makes it mouth watering.
500 Gms of Tomatoes
1 Tspof Salt
1 Tsp of Pepper Balls
2 Cups of Water (Left over from the Boiled Bengal Gram)
1 Bunch of Coriander Leaves
2 Pods of Curry Leaves
1 Tsp of Custard Powder/Maida
Clean and boil the tomatoes in water. After 15 minutes take out the boiled tomatoes.
Peel the boiled tomatoes and grind them in a blender jar.
Transfer the tomato puree into a bowl. Take the remaining water from the boiled bengal gram.
Add that water to the tomato puree. Crush salt and pepper balls and add this powder to the tomato puree.
Add the coriander leaves, curry leaves to the soup and boil it for about 10 minutes.
Now filter the soup and keep it aside.
Mix the custard powder or maida in 2 to 3 tsp of water and mix it well.
Add this custard or maida mix to the soup.
Serve hot before having lunch or supper.
* Add more water before boiling the bengal gram as we need the water remains to use it later.
* Add basil leaves for more taste.
* Roasted bread slices or rusk pieces can be added to the soup to add that extra flavour of crisp.
