HOW TO COOK SONA MASOORI RICE
- Take a medium cup of rice in a large pot.
- Rinse the grains to remove starch for about 2 to 3 times.
- Add 2 and ½ cups of water and allow it to rest for about 15 minutes.
- Put the pot on the gas stove and cover it with a lid.
- Occasionally, stir the grains until it gets to the boiling point.
- Allow the rice to cook on a medium flame for about 15 minutes until the water gets absorbed.
- You can add 1 tablespoon of ghee or butter to the rice before turning off the flame and 1/4th tablespoon of salt along with water (and bring to the boiling point) to get that delicious exotic aroma of the Sona Masoori rice.
